The couple were chosen as the worthy winners in a competition for NHS workers run by Blossom Wedding Planning (www.blossomweddingplanning.co.uk) an d Chippenham Park ( www.chippenhamparkevents.co.uk), a breathtakingly beautiful venue set in the Cambridgeshire countryside. “The appreciation of the sacrifices NHS workers have made during the crisis has been recognised by the whole nation but we and Blossom Wedding Planning decided to give back in the best way we knew how, and that was to offer one lucky couple working for the NHS a free wedding,” explains events manager at Chippenham Park Beccy Nicholson. After submitting their entry online, explaining why they wanted to win, Tia and Joel were invited to the venue on the pretence that they’d made the final shortlist. Little did they know when they arrived, that they’d already been picked as the winners. “We were absolutely over the moon,” says delighted Tia. Both full-time paramedics for East of England ambulance service, the couple have been together for more than six years and got engaged in December 2019. “Winning our wedding at such an amazing venue is just breathtaking and I know it will be the best chapter of our happy ever after.” The wedding is planned for April 2021 and more than 20 local suppliers have come on board to offer their services, covering everything from the photography, dress, flowers, cake, stationery and more to create the couples dream day. Founded by vegetarian, long-term crêpe and waffle fan and tea lover Thérèse Coyne, the business was born after she spotted a gap in the market for veggie, vegan and gluten-free options. Lovingly designed to provide a pretty backdrop for weddings it caters for celebrations of all kinds. “Having been around many nervous brides and grooms on their wedding morning I noticed they often forgot to have a nutritious start to their big day so I came up with the idea for our Bridal Brunch/Groom’s Grazing to provide the bridal party with sustenance on their doorstep,” Thérèse explains. The Teapod can also be set up at the main venue to provide crêpes, milkshakes and more, before or after the wedding breakfast. Based in Cambridgeshire, as well as providing quality food, one of the main priorities of the business is to maintain a low carbon footprint. Thérèse has therefore forged links with local East Anglian and Essex-based specialists to provide farm-fresh produce, milk and mixes, all served from the stylish modern catering trailer inspired by her quaint cottage and garden.
