Your East Anglian Wedding - June/July2020 (Issue 43)
ALL IN THE DETAIL Kerry Ellis knows a thing or two about planning an outdoor wedding – she had one herself! Owner of Norfolk-based wedding décor company Epic Event Hire her top tip is to have a plan B where necessary. She says, “Even though we had the most glorious weather on the day, on the morning of the wedding when the mist was still lifting and there was damp in the air I was absolutely panic stricken because I hadn’t got a cold-weather plan. I was even trying to get the marquee company to deliver some heaters to the venue. These are the things I should have done before the day to reduce the stress - easy wins too!” Pretty bunting never goes out of fashion. Add a pop of colour to your marquee with hanging lanterns. Stylish seating doesn’t just have to be for indoor ceremonies. Dress up your chairs for the outside too! Festoon poles are great for hanging lights to illuminate outdoor spaces. Danielle Spelman of Norfolk-based Array Wedding and Event Hire shows how. Cushions, rugs, pouffes and low coffee tables are ideal for creating welcoming relaxed areas but mix it up with a couple of comfy chairs and sofas for guests who can’t get down to floor level. Visit www.instagram.com/arrayweddingandeventhire B ring the inside out to create inviting cosy settings. Remember p rops and flowers can be moved around during the day, saving y ou money. Why hire more than you need when you can rope in a couple of friends to switch things around? Give them a plan or p hoto beforehand of how you want things to look and that can be th eir useful job for the day.
