Your East Anglian Wedding - June/July2020 (Issue 43)
My bridal bouquet was huge. It was more amazing than I could have ever imagined; the florist was incredible. Being able to hire the whole site at Hales Hall and stay over was important to us as Chris’ family is from the Seychelles so we had people travelling from far away. We had shades of wine, peach, ivory and navy for the wedding flowers including roses, berries, ranunculi, stocks and thistles and the bouquets were bound with silk ribbons I bought from a textile shop. The barn is so beautiful, we didn’t want to detract from it so we kept the décor simple and relaxed with candles in jars and loose flowers. The candles in the window were lit too which was really magical. We used gold and ivory tones with a pop of Merlot to add warmth as it was a March wedding. I thought pale colours might create a cold feel, however we had the best weather! I had loose flowers for the tables. Emma’s top tip Turn everything into an event, the dress fittings, choosing the flowers - it’s wonderful having those special memories to treasure. REAL WEDDINGS 45
