Your East Anglian Wedding - June/July2020 (Issue 43)
Touches of soft pink set the tone for Nicola and Matt’s elegant wedding Images courtesy of Tom Halliday Photography Summer CLASS I C N icola and Matt met as teenagers while working at a local leisure centre. They went on a first date but the timing was wrong then as they were both on different career paths. It wasn’t until seven years later, through the powers of social media, that they eventually had their second date. There was an instant attraction, they shared similar interests and hobbies and romance blossomed. Matt popped the question on 13 th February 2018, while they were away with friends in North Wales. “Matt had planned a walk up Mount Snowden and we were really lucky with the weather. The sun was shining, with clear skies and the ground was covered in snow; a real winter wonderland. Matt proposed when we reached the top and our friends were there to capture it all and share the unforgettable moment,” recalls Nicola. “We had Champagne to celebrate, which Matt had secretly packed and carried in his bag all the way to the peak. I had no idea it was a total surprise!” They tied the knot at Lanwades Hall in Kentford, Suffolk on 2 nd August, 2019 and opted for an elegant theme with touches of blush pink.
