The revamped venue offers all the charm and splendour of a stately home but with a modern touch. The boutique hotl is nestled within 32 acres of picturesque grounds and woodlands just south of Norwich in the Roman town of Caistor St Edmund. Built in the 1700s, the venue’s makeover means it now offers 21 stylish rooms, including two bridal suites, and a large garden pavilion. With high ceilings, sash windows and stylish décor throughout, it combines traditional features with modern elegance. The sweeping driveway provides the perfect entrance for the bride-to-be and her entourage, framed by lawned gardens and a scenic woodland backdrop. A variety of versatile rooms are available for weddings, catering for all needs. You can tie the knot in the Palm Court, a beautiful space for wedding ceremonies, complete with a raised platform so the congregation can look on while you exchange vows. The Ballroom provides a bright and spacious area for the wedding breakfast and can seat up to 70 guests, or 100 for an afternoon or evening reception. The Garden Room, with its high ceilings and views of the garden, is ideal for more intimate gatherings while the Rose Room, with its blush pink furnishings, has a permanent flower wall; perfect for bridal photos. Couples can host their whole day in the newly refurbished Pavilion. Licensed for ceremonies it can cater for anything from 100 up to 300 guests and can be sectioned off to provide separate areas for eating, dancing, mixing and mingling. For those looking for the full lord-of-the- manor experience, Caistor Hall is available to hire on an exclusive-use basis, with access to all the rooms and extensive grounds. NEW LOOK Cambridgeshire wedding photographer Lee Allison is moving forward with a fresh new look for his business. “2020 is time for a big change. I wanted my business to go in a different direction and to work with more non-traditional couples, those looking for something creative and alternative for their wedding. Fun, stylish, relaxed couples wanting to rip up the rule book and make their own traditions,” Lee explains. Brew Branding of Chelmsford created the new look giving it a fresh, contemporary feel. “I knew Kate from Brew Branding would be perfect for the project, and I was right. She’s delivered a brand that’s really stylish, the perfect fit for my business moving forward.” Lee first fell in love with photography while studying for his A-levels. He toyed with the idea of making it his career then, but wasn’t sure he could do it full-time. “I went off to university to study computer animation instead, which set me off on my career as a graphic designer but I couldn’t get photography out of my head.” He then set up the business in 2013 and spent the next three years establishing himself before taking the plunge to go full-time in July 2016. “I haven’t looked back since! It’s been quite a journey, not always easy but, I love what I do and that’s all that matters,” he adds. To find out more visit leeallisonphotography.co.uk 8
