Your East Anglian Wedding - April/May 2020 (Issue 42)
77 EXPERT ADVICE SKIN DEEP I have an outdoor job and my skin really suffers in the winter. How can I repair the ravages of the cold and wind in time for my wedding? Emma says: The warmer weather means changes to your everyday beauty routines. Products that are used in the winter may not work as well during the hotter months, so now is a great time to spring clean your beauty bag and get ready for a lighter skincare regime. Switch the heavy rich moisturisers for creams, serums and oils to suit the milder weather. I love local Norwich brand Abbey Essentials My Favourite Face Serum, it’s packed with vitamin E and essential fatty acids to help restore the skin’s elasticity; great for a radiant complexion and a base for your foundation too. Buff away dry dead skin cells to leave you feeling soft smooth and glowing. I highly recommend coffee scrub from Upcircle Beauty, rich in essential oils to leave your complexion truly refreshed. Spritzing your face throughout the day will help you stay hydrated and fresh and can also help your make-up look luminous and glowing. I particularly like Organic Pharmacy Rose facial Spritz. Having regular facials will help to make your skin beautiful and glowing for your special day too. Sharron says: A natural glow is still very much in favour. Bridal make- up is more soft and natural; a timeless classic look rather than latest catwalk trends. Soft peach and pink shades look great with a hint of gold for subtle glamour. For hair, flowers continue to be popular whether woven into plaits or twists or as a statement flower crown. Updos are still relaxed and soft but with more texture. We’re also finding loose curls worn down are in big demand at our hair and make-up bridal trials currently.
