A chance Travel was at the heart of Becci and Emily’s romantic rustic-themed wedding Images courtesy of Tanya Alexanda F ate helped bring Becci and Emily together. Becci was on a two-week trip around the UK and Ireland from her home in Australia and Emily just happened to be the tour manager. They got to know each other and the spark was lit. “I found her funny, clever and kind. I had no idea I was looking into the eyes of my future wife though. I thought she’d have her holiday and then return home,” says Emily. Three months later, that’s exactly what happened, only Emily went too! Becci explains, “After the tour we decided to spend some time together, just the two of us to see if what we were feeling was just a fling or the real deal. We spent a week in Innsbruck and that confirmed it was true love.” After upping sticks to move home with Becci, Emily popped the question while they were on a winter break in Europe with four of their best friends. Their travels took them back to Innsbruck in Austria, the city where they’d fallen in love and where Emily planned to propose. “Everyone on the trip knew what she was going to do, except me. I was unintentionally a real pain that day and kept stalling her plan,” reveals Becci. Undeterred Emily eventually managed to get down on one knee on top of a snow-capped mountain. “The engagement ring belonged to her grandmother, a ruby stone and diamonds which Emily had reset for me. It was such a beautiful moment; I was shaking for a good hour afterwards!” Read on for Becci’s account of their big day... encounter 41  REAL WEDDINGS
