Michael, his best man and my dad wore matching navy blue suits with rose gold ties and pocket squares. My best friend who is recovering from cancer agreed to give a speech on the day. There wasn’t a dry eye because it meant so much that she was there with us. I wanted big statement centrepieces full of beautiful fresh flowers that were tall enough to allow our guests to talk to each other across the tables. I wanted a statement tiara but couldn’t find one I liked, so I designed my own and had it made with ivory freshwater pearls and marquise-shaped Swarovski crystals to match my engagement ring. Our table plan, table numbers, flower arch, welcome sign, LOVE and I DO letters were all hired from RLA Weddings. Roses are my favourite flower so they were included in the bouquets in shades of rose gold and peach. REAL WEDDINGS 51 
