Your East Anglian Wedding - Aug/Sep 2019 (Issue 38)
Ben wore a navy suit with a white waistcoat and a cornflower blue tie. So did my son Oliver, who was our pageboy, and the groomsmen had matching suits and ties, but with grey waistcoats. We had a pianist play as our guests arrived for the ceremony, for our entrance and exit music and throughout the wedding breakfast. Ben drove himself and his best man to the venue in his dad’s E-Type Jag. My Hermione dress by Ronald Joyce was the only one I tried on that made me feel a bit shaky and emotional. We’d been to a wedding at The Old Hall and when we started looking at venues, we found ourselves comparing everything else to it. We booked a viewing and just went for it. My brother gave me away and did us proud with his brother-of-the-bride speech! 36
