98 BRIDAL GLOW We’re having a relaxed, outdoor wedding and I want to look as natural as possible. What would you suggest that’s still going to make me look glamorous and stand out in the photos?  Louise says: I’d suggest for this kind of look, focusing on one specific feature for extra glamour, whether it’s breathtaking eyes or a striking bold lip. Keep your skin as natural as possible with a light formula base and concealer for any blemishes or pigmentation. Remember to set with powder to make sure your look lasts all day, especially for an outdoor wedding. Add definition using a powder bronzer along the cheekbones and up around the temples, where the sun would naturally tan you. A pink blusher will add a beautiful flush to the cheeks, while a light layer of highlight on the high points of your features will give your skin a healthy, radiant glow. For the eyes, I’d recommend keeping the shadows light and shimmery adding definition in the crease with a light, matte brown shade. Highlight the inner corners and browbone to lift and open up the eyes. Define the lash line with a black gel liner or shadow. Light, natural false lashes will add extra definition as well. If you want to keep your lips natural, use a lipstick two shades darker then your actual lip colour as cameras and flash photography can wash out certain shades. Last but not least, the eyebrows! They can make all the difference to your final look. With naturally full brows all that’s needed is a sweep of clear brow gel to keep them tidy or if the hairs are sparse use a brow powder to subtly fill and define them. Amelia says: Firstly, don’t worry! Hopefully your hair stylist and make-up artist will have backup to cope with your bumper bridal party. Personally, I’d bring a colleague along to help, although I always do the bride’s hair and make-up and work out a rough idea of timings myself. It’s best to err on the generous for each stage in order to keep everything on track. Although not set in stone, the timetable should also allow for getting dressed, putting on your jewellery, veil and shoes. Don’t forget all those important special details too, like admiring the flowers when they arrive, the getting-ready photos and, of course, a quiet five minutes with your dad before you leave. Once you’ve got a plan and taken everything into account you can then sit back, relax and enjoy your wedding morning, knowing that everything is in hand.
