Your East Anglian Wedding - Jun/Jul 2019 (Issue 37)

91 REGIONAL SHOOT Y ou don’t have to go far in East Anglia to discover a world of glorious settings for a magical big day. Increased eco- awareness means more and more couples are looking to tie the knot closer to home in order to up the provenance of their day and lower the carbon footprint. With so many fabulous backdrops to choose from local suppliers got together to show how you can have the best of both worlds. Norfolk-based wedding planner Emily Andrew explains, “The inspiration was to show couples that there are some amazing locations in East Anglia that can give the feeling of being abroad. Reverse destination weddings are something I’m seeing a lot of, with couples specifically choosing to get married in the region just because they love the area. Recruiting a top-class team of local creatives for a high-quality result, the shoot also clearly showcases our amazing pool of wedding talent.” Nestled in the sunny and sheltered Waveney Valley, Flint Vineyard provided the perfect backdrop. Emily adds “The colour palette was kept very organic, using predominantly white and green shades with a heavy emphasis on foliage and natural elements to blend with the surroundings. Although it’s not a wedding venue, the vineyard provided the inspiration for the overall concept and we used this to tie in the dress design, stationery, table decorations and the cake to create a delicately luxurious look. Everything was kept very elegant and classic to illustrate that you can have a stylish wedding in a countryside setting!” HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS Wedding inspiration on your doorstep Images courtesy of Amanda Karen Photography 
