Your East Anglian Wedding - Jun/Jul 2019 (Issue 37)
I knew I wanted to get married at the church in Southwold and to have the reception somewhere private close by. I travelled to the church with my dad in a white vintage American Cadillac, listening to Elvis and soaking it all in. As soon as we arrived at Bruisyard Hall we knew it was the one . We didn’t look anywhere else and booked it a week or two later. I loved the blank canvas of Bruisyard Barn. It had two beautiful rooms and the staff were excellent and let me have free rein with the decorating. My Pronovias gown had an illusion and lace bodice, an A-line skirt with a long train and beautiful button details from the nape of my neck all the way to the bottom of the train. I accessorised with a cathedral-length veil with lace detail to match. My bouquet was made up of protea, David Austin roses, astrantia, ammi, astilbe and lots of beautiful foliage. I didn’t see it until the morning of the wedding as my friend made it for me. The fitted Maya bridesmaids’ dresses looked beautiful and had a little bit of sparkle. 56
