Your East Anglian Wedding - Feb/Mar 2019 (Issue 35)

“ I wanted daisies in my bouquet because there’s something innocent, fresh and resilient about them. White sweet peas, peach avalanche roses, pale pink peonies, thlaspi, gypsophila, alchemilla and peach vuvuzela roses were also included. The bouquets, buttonholes and venue flowers were done by the lovely ladies at Ragged Robin who were very helpful during the design process, listening to my vision and always willing to make changes. A close friend of ours from high school played the piano during our welcome drinks and she sounded fantastic as we passed through the music room. The gents wore morning suits with tailcoats and peach ties instead of cravats in keeping with the clean, timeless look. Some of the bridesmaids hijacked the ribbon sticks I’d made for the children. We went for a quintessential English wedding cake with tiers of traditional fruitcake, chocolate and Victoria sponge, finished with sugar flowers to match my bouquet. “ REAL WEDDINGS 55 
