“ “ When Chris proposed, he already knew I wanted to have the ceremony at Wymondham Abbey where my parents were married and I was christened. We fell in love with Kimberley Hall because it was timeless and elegant; a real English countryside gem. It was ideal for the size of our wedding and only five minutes away from the abbey. I saw a picture of my Bette Davis by Chloe Bridal dress and loved it. I hunted down a local stockist, Le Jour Bridal Studio and the staff there were amazingly helpful. They managed to pull in a sample and get it ordered in my size. Local dressmakers Antora then tweaked it until it fitted like a glove. We hired original 1930s Rolls-Royce cars for the wedding transport. It was not only a privilege and a great experience, but also the comfiest vehicle I’d ever travelled in. I had a very specific colour in mind for the bridesmaids dresses and Antora did the alterations. My bridesmaids were amazingly talented, one did everyone’s hair on the morning and another designed and printed all our stationery. 54
