Your Devon and Cornwall Wedding - November/December 2024 (Issue 52)

Andrew and his best man Gary wore matching three-piece suits in a light-blue check with a hint of mustard teamed with a pair of tan shoes. My hair was styled by my regular hairdresser and great friend, Jess at Colourbox Hair Salon. We had various trials and my stepmum lent me a vintage pin that we placed at the top of my veil. My dress was from Elaine Rawlings boutique in Truro. I have known Elaine for many years and she made the experience a dream! It was the opposite of what I thought I wanted with plenty of sparkle and sleeves. The A-line silhouette featured a long train and I wore it with a string of small pearls and matching earrings lent to me by my mum as my something borrowed. We had a personalised cake topper made to reflect Andrew’s farming background which finished it off beautifully. “We were fortunate to have been lent a vintage Rolls-Royce by a family member which was just perfect.” - Katie and Andrew “Our four boys were our ushers who all wore tan chinos, white shirts, navy braces and tan shoes. The bridesmaids who were my daughters both wore navy dresses while our flowergirl who was my youngest daughter was dressed in a classic ivory dress.” - Katie 34
