INTIMATE TRESEREN WEDDING VENUE WINS AWARD Cornish wedding venue Treseren has been announced as the national winner in The Wedding Industry Awards 2024, the only Cornish winner in this prestigious event that awards the best wedding industry professionals across the country. This micro wedding venue located in the parish of St Newlyn East was up against some big competition in the Historic Building Wedding Venue category when they became the South-West regional finalists. With eight finalists including former royal residences and vast castles, this is a big achievement for Treseren, who have gone from strength to strength after launching their unique brand of ‘small weddings that are big on style’ in late 2018. Treseren has twice been awarded Gold for Wedding Venue of the Year in the Cornwall Tourism Awards and the South-West Tourism Excellence Awards and has now been recognised on a national level in The Wedding Industry Awards. The awards are voted for by couples that have married at the venue and judged by industry professionals, with the glamorous awards ceremony taking place at the Underglobe on London’s Southbank. Fellow Cornish wedding business Flicksbox were also delighted to be recognised at the event, as finalists in the Photo and Video Entertainment Category. “We are so thankful for this recognition of Treseren and our amazing team, who work so hard to create magical wedding experiences for every one of our couples. We were up against some amazing venues across the whole of the UK and see this as a huge achievement and mark of success for our small business in Cornwall,” says owner Emma Caddis. Treseren is a former Mine Captain’s residence, rich in history and architectural features. The beauty of the house is matched by its private and generous grounds, making it the perfect venue for magical small weddings for up to 22 people. Just a 10-minute drive from some of North Cornwall’s most iconic beaches, Treseren offers an idyllic destination wedding venue with a real sense of occasion. “At Treseren, we have grown to know the secret about small, beautiful weddings – those couples choosing to be selective with their guest list can create a really special and magical experience. We set out to create a relaxed wedding experience where couples could retreat and enjoy a celebration over a few days, encompassing the wedding day,” says Emma. Nestled in the Cornish countryside, Treseren is a beautiful exclusive-use country house wedding venue for small weddings that are big on style. Here, Georgian elegance meets contemporary cool, with Austen-esque proportions and an air of romance. The soaring archways and period features are complemented by a neutral palette, blended with vintage and modern pieces, original Cornish art and natural materials. The decadent Cocktail Bar, Loveday’s, is a glamorous addition to the ground floor spaces, creating a special space for celebration. Wedding parties can enjoy use of the entire house for the duration of their stay. It’s home to sumptuous décor and vintage furniture, from the over-the-top gold leaf ceiling and glass chandelier inside Loveday’s Cocktail Bar, the perfect place to relax and enjoy a celebratory drink. The inspiration for the bar was the glitz and glamour of The Great Gatsby and it was named after Loveday Champion, a resident at Treseren in the 1840’s. The beauty of the house is matched by its private and generous grounds, making it a truly peaceful retreat, with plenty of spaces to relax and play. Located just a 10-minute drive from some of North Cornwall’s most iconic beaches, Treseren is an idyllic destination wedding venue, with wedding parties enjoying exclusive use of the house and gardens. With licensed outdoor ceremony spaces including the canopy of a 200-year-old walnut tree, many couples choose to make the most of the beautiful gardens and say their vows outside. The terraces provide the perfect location for an al fresco drinks reception with croquet on the adjoining lawns. Treseren specialises in small weddings, with a maximum capacity of 22 guests. Ceremonies can take place in the Wedding Room, or outside on either the Walnut Tree Lawn, the Front Lawn or the Covered Terrace. Weddings at Treseren are much more than a one-day affair, with weekend weddings including a three-night stay, so that the happy couple and their closest loved ones can enjoy quality time together celebrating such a special moment in their lives. Guests are greeted with homemade cake and tea, and later in the evening, a locally sourced welcome meal as they are invited to relax and enjoy meaningful interactions, setting the tone for the weekend ahead with a unique blend of five-star service in a home-from-home atmosphere. www.treseren.co.uk VENUES IN NORTH AND WEST CORNWALL Spotlight on...
