NEW LUXURY COASTAL CAMPING IN CORNWALL Located in the heart of West Cornwall, Three Mile Beach is a collection of 15 characterful beach houses overlooking the golden sands of Gwithian Beach. The property will introduce four beautifully appointed luxury tented suites this spring, ideal for smaller groups and couples in search of a cosy night under the stars. Each spacious 30m² tented suite will be designed to take glamping to new heights, with bold and colourful interiors, white wood-panelled walls, exposed oak beams and hand-crafted Cornish furniture. Rugs and cushions in shades of bright pink and pale mint green will pay homage to the owners’ wanderlust. A super-king size bed sleeps two guests with an additional sofa bed for groups of friends or little ones and an extensive kitchen with a double oven, fridge and dining table ensures guests can cook in the comfort of their own home away from home. There’ll also be freestanding bathtubs, a WC that’s hidden away through a small secret door, central heating, underfloor heating and air conditioning for a cosy ambience whatever the weather. Outside, the Three Mile Beach signature wrap-around terrace comes complete with a barbecue and seating area for alfresco feasting and a cedarwood hot tub for tranquil evenings. Guests staying in the tented suites will have access to the wider Three Mile Beach amenities and a host of foodie offerings that celebrate the best of Cornish produce, including a welcome hamper filled with locally-sourced goodies and an on-site food truck serving up an array of seasonal light bites for lunch. There’s also new fun-filled themed nights for dinner and a drinks tuk-tuk offering craft beers, creative cocktails and soft drinks. Ooni pizza ovens and DIY pizza kits are the perfect addition whilst the all-new Sunday roast deliveries promise a feast. Guests looking to brush up on their surf skills can book a lesson with the surf school and enjoy surfboard, bodyboard and wetsuit hire, all delivered to guests’ doors for ease. Thrill-seekers can explore the surrounding landscape by e-bike or discover the impressive coastline with an unforgettable coasteering session. LAUNCH NEW LONDON LIGHT FOR DRY JANUARY New London Light from the Salcombe Distilling Co is a bold collection of contemporary non-alcoholic spirits and aperitifs in time for Dry January thanks to the adoption of innovative flavour combinations and a pioneering production process. The two latest expressions - New London Light Midnight Sun and New London Light Aegean Sky - have been created by master distiller Jason Nickels and the Salcombe Distilling Co. team who make a core part of the process at their waterside distillery where they keep as much of the process in house as possible. The production of most non-alcoholic spirits and aperitifs is often outsourced to flavour houses, where the entire process takes place externally. Master distiller Jason Nickels uses his extensive knowledge and understanding of flavour, foraging, botany, and of course distillation, to create the core flavour profiles inhouse. He tells us, “Until now, most alcohol-free drinks brands have been particularly light on detail and transparency when it comes to their distillation and production process. After nearly a decade of creating multi-awardwinning gin, we are delighted to share how our non-alcoholic aperitifs are created.” Howard Davis, co-founder and director at Salcombe Distilling Co. adds, “The non-alcoholic space is a fast-growing and exciting playground that has provided us with an opportunity to get creative and explore innovative techniques and processes. It’s a challenge to provide something alternative to alcohol that doesn’t compromise on taste, and for us to be able to achieve this whilst keeping as much of the distillation process in house as possible, is something we’re extremely proud of.” To shop, visit www.salcombegin.com Photography courtesy of www.mimosaphotography.uk 12
