GOLDEN HIND PUB, PLYMOUTH Exciting news for couples looking to enjoy an informal pre-wedding dinner or a laid-back celebratory meal should check out popular Plymouth pub the Golden Hind which has recently appointed a new general manager, Joanne Purchase, who previously worked at the Tamar pub, also in Plymouth. Joanne tells us, “It has always been a dream of mine to run a pub and I couldn’t have wished for a better one. The locals and staff have made me feel so welcome and part of a massive family. I have lived in Plymouth for ten years now and thanks to the people around me I feel so at home.” The Golden Hind has recently launched a new menu that features a range of dishes including small plates, Alabama BBQ bacon burger and katsu curry. The pub fundraises for Macmillan Cancer Support and more recently, Joanne walked 29 miles with some of her team raising £1,000.
