Your Devon and Cornwall Wedding - Page number 36 - September/October 2021 (Issue 33)
Laura Hingston was the florist that we used and she did a fabulous job! She created some beautiful, wild and whimsical-style floral arrangements for our table centrepieces accompanied by lemon halves to tie in with our theme. The venue flowers looked spectacular too - the room looked so bright and colourful! I asked my dad to build us some tiered, curved-shaped boards to mount our table plan on which made a great feature on the day! We decided to use the names of places in Devon that meant a lot to us as our table names because this is the county where our relationship blossomed. Angels Tea Rooms is our favourite place to grab a cream tea, Park Lane was the nightclub where we’d spend Sunday nights dancing, Bianco’s Italian restaurant is where we had our first date and Paignton Zoo is where we enjoyed our first outing together. We walked back down the aisle as man and wife to the song (Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher and Higher by Jackie Wilson. I remember George asking me what do we do now and I said ‘just dance’. He then jumped in the air with delight and the photos of this moment are priceless! @jordearn_video We live in Kent but my family live in Devo n so we viewed plenty of venues in both locations. Rockbe are Manor stood out to us as soon as arrived. I loved how light and airy the place was and I think George was drawn to the billia rds room because he loves playing snooker. We met Helen w ho took us on a tour of the property. She was so lovely and we both felt like we’d be very well looked after if we held our wedd ing there. The ceremony was a beautiful moment and I’ll never forget the reading that my mum did for us. It was so personal and there were tears! I also delivered a reading and felt very proud to have stood up and got through it without crying.. Scan to view video 36
