THREE MILE BEACH UNVEILS GLAMPING AND FOOD AND BEVERAGE OFFERINGS Three Mile Beach in West Cornwall, located a stone’s throw from Gwithian Beach, has introduced a collection of 15 characterful beach houses offering stylish self-catering with a difference this summer, and the property is also set to unveil a glampsite home to four rustic yurts, plus a host of foodie offerings that celebrate the very best Cornish produce. Each of the three and four-bedroom houses stand out with bold exteriors painted pink, turquoise and yellow. Light and airy interiors reflect the coastal location with lobster-pot willow lampshades, plant hangers made from recycled fishing materials and hand-painted decorative surfboards adorning the walls. Spacious kitchens and living areas allow space for group brunches and dinner parties, and sundowners and barbecues can be enjoyed on the private outdoor deck, home to a hot tub and sauna. On arrival, guests will be greeted by a hamper of local goodies, including milk, bread, butter, tea, coffee, herbs and spices, and an array of condiments. The on-site food truck is stocked with light bites, flatbreads, burgers and salads, all celebrating fresh Cornish produce from trusted local suppliers. The drinks tuk-tuk is the go-to destination for craft beers, creative cocktails and soft drinks, and will deliver drinks straight to guests’ doors. Visitors can also book talented local chefs to cook for them in the comfort of their own houses, with menus tailored to suit their preferences and seasonal availability. There are two dining options to choose from including a sharing-style feasting menu featuring barbecued meats, locally sourced seafood and a range of grazing salads or a five-course fine-dining menu for more formal dinner parties and celebrations. There’s the option to add a wine-tasting session with Three Mile Beach’s knowledgeable wine expert to either menu. From late summer 2021, Three Mile Beach will unveil four beautifully-appointed glamping yurts each sleeping up to two guests and fully equipped with a king-size bed, dining table, and kitchenette complete with a retro Everhot double oven, mini-fridge and cooking utensils. Each yurt will enjoy a private outdoor deck with a seating area and barbecue, as well as access to two luxury, shared bathrooms, a shared Alaskan Cedar hot tub and SunCube Sauna. To book, visit www.holidaycottages.co.uk UGLY BUTTERFLY BY ADAM HANDLING OPENS AT CARBIS BAY ESTATE Ugly Butterfly by Adam Handling opens at Carbis Bay Estate in Cornwall this August offering British dishes inspired by the region with a strong focus on sustainability. Located in a stunning coastal setting, just one mile from St. Ives, the restaurant and bar offer spectacular views through the floor-to-ceiling glass windows. The creation of an open kitchen will provide the renowned Adam Handling touch and the restaurant, and spacious bar area, will both offer 65 covers with two private dining tables situated in the main dining area. Chef Adam Handling has created the menus to be as elevated and theatrical as those at his Frog by Adam Handling restaurant located in Covent Garden, London. Dishes will use ingredients carefully sourced in, and around, Cornwall and local food and drink suppliers include Verdant Brewing Co. in Falmouth and Pentire non-alcoholic spirits distilled with Cornish coastal plants. Offering an all-day dining experience, the Ugly Butterfly bar uses trims and offcuts from the ingredients used in the restaurant to create delicious drinks and bar snacks. This bar menu will illustrate that there’s no such thing as food waste. Adam tells us, “Everything that we do at our restaurants and bars is based on the location and surroundings.
