Your Devon and Cornwall Wedding - January/February 2021 (Issue 29)

Due to the restrictions that were in place at the time of our wedding, we couldn’t have a live ba nd performance which is something that we both would’ve loved so this was the only thing that w e felt was missing from the day. However, so that we didn’t miss out on our first dance, our best man who w as Howie’s brother, Connor, organised a mini spea ker and lighting out in the car park where we were able to have a dance to You’re my Best Friend by Queen, a band we both love. We adore the lyrics to it so it was a big surprise and something that will remain a very fond memory of our special day. Our beautiful bridesmaids wore non-matching blush pink dresses to tie in with our colour scheme, and they held pretty bouquets made by my mother. My dress was beautiful, it featured a beaded bodice with a long train and a corset-style back. I purchased it from La Boutique which is an Exeter-based business where every wedding dress is priced below £600 and all the profits go to the Wishing Well Wedding Foundation, a charity which helps people with a terminal illness afford the wedding of their dreams.
