It’s a peaceful location perched just along the lane from the Market Square in Britain’s most westerly town, and just a short stroll from the South West Coastal Path surrounded by spectacular coastal scenery including unspoilt rugged coves, white sandy beaches, ancient moors and mystical ruins. The 100-year-old arts and craft-style house boasts beautiful original features in the areas where ceremonies take place. The Oak Panelled Hall is home to a beautiful stone fireplace and is filled w ith candles for each ceremony. The original stained-glass window a llows light to fill the space and the grand oak staircase is situated c lose by for making a grand entrance. There’s also the light-filled Atlantic View Room with large picture w indows revealing stunning views stretching across the gardens to t he Atlantic Ocean. Alternatively, The Wedding Arbour set outside i n the garden is sheltered by the ruins of the original orangery and p rovides a romantic ceremony backdrop decorated with white bunting. After the elopement ceremony, couples can order a bespoke hamper of treats prepared by the chef or enjoy private dining in their on-site retreat. They can also book a chauffeured vintage car to whisk them off for a meal at one of the many excellent local restaurants. Newlyweds can opt to stay in a private self-contained luxury retreat located in the grounds complete with a Juliette balcony enjoying ocean views, a four-poster bed, wood-burning stove and light-filled living room and kitchen.
