Laura says: Bohemian hairstyles are my go-to look for summer brides. They can incorporate natural-looking loose curls for long-haired locks that can be dressed with colourful fresh flowers - perfect for those wanting something that's inspired by nature for a seasonal summer celebration. One of my favourite boho-inspired styles is the romantic fishtail bun that's easy to achieve using my step-by-step guide: ❤ Start by sectioning the hair and curling each piece using the Diva Professional Styling Intelligent Heat Argan Hair Wand that's great for achieving a natural curl (£40.50, www.amazon.co.uk). ❤ Pin the curls with grips to set them and then use Maria Nila Style & Finishing Spray to make sure that the curls hold (£21.99, www.sallybeauty.co.uk). ❤ Next, remove the grips and let your hair fall into a cascade of curls. Part the front two sections from the back of the ears and leave them until the end. ❤ Backcomb at the crown to add a bit of volume. ❤ At the back, take two large sections beside each other and pull a thin strand from the outside of the left side. Cross this piece into the centre of the two sections and then take a small section from the outside of the right-side and cross this in the centre. Repeat the process down the length of the hair, making sure you take the thin sections as you continue, securing it with a hair elastic (if it's easier, you might want one of your bridesmaids or mum to help you with this part). ❤ Stretch these plaits out to give them more texture before pinning them up into a bun. ❤ With the two remaining front sections left from earlier, twist each one back and pin them above the bun to allow more movement. ❤ Pull out some pieces at the front, so that the style looks looser and softer. ❤ Finally, add gypsophila dotted in the fishtail plait. You can also add pink daisies which look so pretty and summery, and don't forget to use the finishing spray to set the look in place. Kimberly says : I think these treatments are an excellent idea for brides of any age. Well-groomed eyebrows and a lovely set of lashes finish your make-up look and make a difference in your wedding photographs. There are a few different methods that beauty therapists use to get brows into shape with a relatively short treatment time. For me, the process starts with a conversation about the shape that clients wish to achieve. I advise not to stray too far from your natural one because then you know it’s going to be suitable for your face shape and it’ll be easier for you to keep up with between appointments. Secondly, consider the shade that you would like the tint to be. If you’re not used to colouring your brows, I would advise starting with a lighter one because you can always go darker. A tint placed over the brows after a shape fills any gaps and makes them appear more pronounced. This should be carried out a few times before your wedding day so that you can try different colours. Lash extensions look fabulous if you look after them properly - they’ll last throughout your honeymoon too! A fresh set of lashes takes a few hours to apply and the procedure is done with you lying down with your eyes closed. Depending on the type of lashes you choose, your beauty therapist will isolate one of your natural lashes and add one or more extensions to add volume and length. The type that you choose don’t have to be overly full or long. Whilst many of my clients love a glamorous, voluminous look, some still like their lashes to remain natural-looking. The lashes are lightweight so you won’t feel them and they are semi- permanent and need topping up every two to three weeks. As with your brows, have them applied a couple of times before your big day so that you have the opportunity to try out different styles. It’s also worth bearing in mind that for both brow tints and lash extensions, you’ll be required to have a patch test beforehand.
