Your Devon and Cornwall Wedding - July/August 2020 (Issue 26)
I wore a dress by Maggie Sottero featuring beautiful back details. After visiting five bridal shops and not finding a style that I loved, I decided to try on a few dresses, even if I didn’t think they were for me. As soon as I put this one on and saw myself in the mirror, it had me in tears. My Grandma loved it too. I then found out that the style was called Andie , after my soon-to-be hubby, so it was meant to be! An artist called Anita Saunders made our table plan while my mum made our table and place names in champagne and grey colours. My mum also made our centrepieces along with myself and my grandma who helped to style the tables on the day. They incorporated flowers matching those in my bouquet with some scatter crystals and candles. Our grey and white cake, created by a family friend, incorporated a symbol that was used throughout the wedding. The team at the hotel also catered for us and each course was delicious. Top tip: “Keep calm and enjoy every moment of the day. Plan well beforehand so that you don’t worry about things and don’t stress about the small details.” - Sarah and Andy Our bridesmaids all wore full-length, champagne-coloured chiffon dresses with diamanté detail on the straps and looked incredible.
