Your Devon and Cornwall Wedding - July/August 2020 (Issue 26)

Our groomsmen looked handsome in their blue suits teamed with navy waistcoats! I (Ryan) wore a contemporary navy suit with a grey waistcoat, brown belt, crisp white shirt, pink and blue polka dot tie, and a pink pocket square teamed with a pair of brown shoes. We both loved the location of Bovey Tracey which is where I (Joanna) grew up and we have spent many weekends together exploring Dartmoor, so we knew the church and venue were both set in a beautiful location. A family friend who has known me (Joanna) my entire life drove me and my father to the venue. For our guests, the transport to and from the hotel was a red double-decker Routemaster bus that they loved. On the way to the church, there were two trips, the first one taking the men down so that they could have a pre-wedding drink in a local pub with the ladies joining shortly after. We held a drinks reception outside the church after the ceremony which was a lovely way for people to meet and mingle. We hand-wrote each place name on brown card to tie in with our rustic theme. 34
