Your Devon and Cornwall Wedding - May/June 2020 (Issue 25)

We’re both from Devon and always wanted to get married in the county. When we first went to look around Upton Barn and stepped into the walled garden, I remember there was a moment of calmness. It was such a beautiful spot in the middle of nowhere. We both fell in love with it immediately and could picture ourselves getting married there. A part of the day that stood out for Rich was turning to see me walking down the aisle with my dad. For our table plan, I used a clothes rail from Ikea that I painted rose gold and suspended from the top bar using ribbon. I added some faux roses and foliage around the edges to tie it in with our theme. “All of our suppliers were incredible. The team at Upton Barn made sure that the day ran smoothly, especially when it looked like the weather might change at the last moment. They made it so special for us, ensuring that we could enjoy every moment and not worry about a thing. Also, our photographer Vince was fantastic! He stayed with us throughout the day, making sure that he captured it beautifully and he made all of our guests feel at ease.
