Samantha says: A ballerina bun with a few loose tendrils at the front to soften the look is a classic style that’s always in fashion. A high bun is an alternative way to wear it and adds a special twist. A boho-inspired style that never dates is a high ponytail with strands falling into a loose, natural curl at the bottom. It looks set to be a popular choice throughout 2020 with the rise in outdoor, festival-style weddings. Try decorating it with coloured ribbons in different widths to add a soft, romantic feel. A satin or velvet bow will also finish it nicely. If you prefer to keep things natural then leave a few strands of hair loose in any style that you choose, or wear it down and scoop a section halfway up at the back, secured with a piece of lace, small decorative clips, hair pins or flowers.  Flush of colour I wear make-up on a daily basis but I’m not overly confident at applying it. I usually stick to neutral colours, such as brown and cream, but it always seems to look the same. How can I change my look for my wedding to be more modern and glamorous without venturing too far out of my comfort zone? Kimberly says: The mistake that many brides make is applying their eye make-up darker or heavier in order to make it appear more glamorous when it’s actually about the colours that you choose. This spring, pretty pink shades are popular because they add a fresh feel without looking too dark, and they work very well with rose gold that’s a popular colour choice because it adds a subtle glow and tends to suit most skin tones. Rose gold also complements brown so brides can team it with their regular colours.  By wearing pink eye make-up, you can repeat it in your blusher and lip colour. Whether it be a rosy shade or a rose gold tone, a subtle dusting on the cheeks looks really pretty and is easy to achieve. Start with a small amount on a fluffy make-up brush and apply it, building up to the desired colour that you like. This will give it a modern edge rather than the heavily contoured look that isn’t as popular anymore. A soft rosy lip will also appear very current, especially when worn without lip liner. Most importantly, have fun with your make-up. Buy a couple of shades and experiment by mixing them with your usual colours. You’ll be surprised at the difference that just a little change can make.  Main image courtesy of gettyimages.co.uk Inset, samanthacowell.com
