Your Devon and Cornwall Wedding - Mar/Apr 2020 (Issue24)

We didn’t use a set table plan, we just wanted people to sit wherever they fancied. We wanted the tables to look rustic so used hessian runners down the centre of each one. My mum and I collected vintage pots, vases, and bottles for the wild flowers to be arranged in. We picked flowers from mum’s garden and bought some from local suppliers. I wanted them to look really natural, like you would see in a hedgerow in Cornwall. I wore the Astral dress by Needle and Thread after falling in love with it. When I decided to buy it, it was half price! It was floaty and comfortable and featured a pretty open back. I had to have a couple of adjustments made. I found choosing my accessories really hard! In the end I picked a simple necklace and earrings made using Cornish metals. My shoes were from ASOS - I wore a sliver satin style with a high heel and open toe. The beading on the dress was sliver so it emphasised that. Justin wore a blue checked suit with a Cornish tartan tie and his best man wore the same.
