My bridesmaids and myself played beach volleyball in our dresses and my dad ended up losing a dance off with an eight-year-old! We hired a fantastic funk soul band called The Soul Strutters who played a hand-picked selection of disco, soul and funk tunes – they were a huge hit with the guests and everyone danced until the end of the night! Our three bridesmaids wore pale green silk dresses that could be tied in different ways so they each styled them differently. As a gift, we gave each of them a fishtail ring to remember the day. Jon kept his outfit relaxed for the beach and wore a pair of chinos with a white shirt and braces. His groomsmen also wore braces and chinos. I knew I wanted to wear a champagne- colour gown so I sketched the style I wanted and Ruth Milliam made it for me. It featured a stunning detachable tulle train and delicate, intricate beading.
