REAL WEDDINGS 47  A lisha and Gavin met while they were both training to become karate instructors. “I was attracted to Gavin’s kind nature and loved every moment that I spent in his company,” Alisha tells us. “I liked how Alisha was so gentle,” Gavin says, “and as I got to know her, I thought she was one of the kindest people that I had ever met.” The couple became engaged during a weekend away. “We were staying in a wooden cabin at a resort in Lanivet, Cornwall, and Gavin decorated it with red heart-shaped balloons which was a nod to one of my favourite songs, Red, by Catfish and the Bottlemen,” Alisha tells us. “He also scattered roses on the bed and proposed with a ring that was engraved with the words marry me.
