Your Devon and Cornwall Wedding - Sep/Oct 2019 (Issue 21)
Our place names were Polaroid photographs of each guest with us (or one of us) in the picture. We chose some older, more embarrassing photos where we could! We placed these on top of a menu at each place setting. We didn’t have a top table, instead opting to sit with our parents, siblings, nieces and nephews. There was no doubt where we would hold our reception because my parents’ smallholding holds special memories for us both so we decided to have two yurts in the grounds to host it. “Having all of our closest friends and family together celebrating our special day with us was such a memorable moment for us both.” – Rachael and Alasdair Our tables were named after places close to our hearts, for example the name of the village where our first home was, the name of the smallholding and Harlyn Bay in Cornwall, where we visit on holiday every Easter. 42
