Your Devon and Cornwall Wedding - Jul/Aug 2019 (Issue 20)
We chose Rockbeare Manor as our reception venue because it was a lovely country manor house that I’d always dreamt of marrying in. St James’ Church, Exeter, was our local church that we’d been attending for some time so our vows took place there and were conducted by the priest who has known Sean for many years. We opted for round tables to make the most of the great views from the dining room. We sat on our own sweetheart table facing our guests. Each chair and table was adorned with teal ribbons and sashes that matched the bridesmaids’ dresses. Our beautiful three-tier cake was decorated with flowers that matched my bouquet. I loved my bouquet – it was made with pretty cream and white roses. We had gypsophila displayed on the tables and window ledges. We also had ivy tied around the pillars and the staircase. “Our entertainment was a photo booth stocked with a large selection of props and costumes, and of course a fully stocked bar!” – Sean 34
