Your Devon & Cornwall Wedding - May/June 2019 (Issue 19)
We had a traditional funfair to entertain our guests. The games included a hook-a-duck and a coconut shy. I had a stunning shower bouquet containing peach and cream blooms, and Nathan’s buttonhole matched this. Our flowergirl carried a cute basket of flowers and my bridesmaids and maids-of-honour carried books down the aisle. We had a wedding barbecue and our guests could choose where to sit so that they could mingle with each other. Our three-tier wedding cake was shaped like the castle and made by my sister – it was fabulous! Our guests loved the red velvet, chocolate, and strawberries and champagne flavours. Nathan got to have his photograph taken on a John Deere, which was a highlight for him! We hired Dolly, a pink and cream vintage caravan, which was a photo booth complete with a sweetie cart and a candyfloss machine. Guests could leave a copy of their pictures in our guest book along with messages. I wore a white satin gown with stunning back detail called Brooke by the designer Rebecca Ingram. REAL WEDDINGS 49
