It sits in two-and-a-half acres of flower-filled gardens and boasts south-facing terraces for al fresco celebrations. The main Shepherds House is a Georgian building steeped in history featuring contemporary interiors. There are four bedrooms located on the first floor, the Drawing Room featuring a cosy wood burner, and a snug area ideal for watching movies. The property is best suited to intimate weddings of up to 20 loved ones and offers exclusive use, although couples who do not wish to stay can also get married at Treseren. Ceremonies take place in the Drawing Room for up to 12 people, in the Wedding Room for up to 20 guests or outside under the floral archway with guests seated on the slate terrace. Ceremony licence? CORNISH TIPI HOLIDAYS, ST KEW This 20-acre site features tipis and tents pitched in a woodland valley around the spring-fed Tregildrans Quarry lake which is suitable for swimming, canoeing and fishing. The arrangement of the tipis ensures privacy and there’s the choice of staying in the Village Field where you’ll have neighbours (ideal for large wedding parties to be together) or in your own clearing on a private site (perfect for newlyweds). There’s also a double private site where friends and family can book two tipis together. Legally binding ceremonies take place outdoors under the archway or in the wedding pavilion located by the waters edge, with guests seated just outside.
