ON THE NIGHT All white Nejma and John said “I do” at St Matthews Catholic Church, Liverpool, before making their way to Isla Gladstone Conservatory to celebrate Images courtesy of Kevin Brown Photography Although Nejma and John had bumped into each other a few times since they lived so close, they didn’t meet officially until Nejma’s 18th birthday party where she surprised John with a running man dance routine! They became inseparable. “I was attracted to his piercing green eyes and sense of humour,” Nejma shares. While John says, “She was really good looking and a really bad dancer!” John got down one knee in Florence, Italy, in February 2019. He took Nejma, who’d been waiting eight years for the day to come, completely by surprise. “I was so shocked that I couldn’t stop crying and even put the engagement ring on the wrong hand!” she remembers. The couple fell in love with Isla Gladstone Conservatory and wasted no time in booking it for their wedding. Nejma adored its authenticity and open plan: “It suited our colour palette perfectly being neutrally decorated and the lighting was fantastic.
