Dreams by Taylor Swift, and the bride followed to Can’t Help Falling In Love With You by Elvis. Later, the newlyweds signed the register to How Long Will I Love You. “The most special part for me, was walking back up the aisle to Just Like Heaven by The Cure, which had been specially arranged for us,” Lizzy tells us. Lizzy and Matt entered the reception room to Best Of My Love by The Emotions, met by guests swinging their napkins around their heads. “It just felt so emotional to have all of these people we love be so happy for us,” Lizzy shares. During the evening, DJ Mervyn Lynch kept everyone boogying the night away on the dancefloor. “The highlight was how he mixed Chopsuey by System Of A Down with C’est la Vie by Bewitched!” Lizzy remembers. Elsewhere, Pineapple Photo Booth proved a great hit with guests. MEMORABLE MOMENTS “I felt totally calm in the morning, and the preparations were so much fun,” Lizzy recalls. “I started getting a git giddy and apprehensive in the car though, but my bridesmaids and mum calmed my nerves. It was incredible to see my dad at the venue waiting for me with my brother. He’d been very unwell, so it was the most special moment to see him there ready to take me down the aisle. Seeing Matt’s face as I walked towards him was incredible too, though it seemed like an age before he looked my way! “The ceremony was a perfect mix of the hilarious and heartfelt. I’ve known our celebrant Wendi most of my life, so it was very personal. She was the most perfect person to perform our ceremomy with her killer wit and heart of gold. Our mums lit unity candles to symbolise our two families becoming one and Wendi presented us with a love stone. We wrote our own vows and made promises to our little boy Harry too. “Every bit of our day was so special. Our suppliers went above and beyond and I’m so happy we chose every single one. The whole team at Scale were so kind and supportive through the planning process and on the day. They are truly the nicest bunch of people.” 24
