Dan knew he wanted to wear green as a nod to his surname and settled on a beautiful three-piece dark green suit with a white shirt, gold tie and gold pocket square. He rented it from John E. Monk and it looked perfect on him. During the welcome drinks, David The Caricaturist did some fantastic drawings for our guests. We were blown away by how accurate they were and everyone commented on his talent and friendliness. He got through so many of our loved ones and even posted one for Dan and I with our puppy in after the big day. Our other decorations such as the posters and place names were DIY. We made book roses from the pages of a second-hand book, designed our own stationery, and wrote everyone’s place names on slices of oak. It all came together beautifully despite the mishmash it felt during the planning process! We were so excited to get started looking for secondhand items and very luckily found the most perfect decorations that somebody was selling from their own wedding: faux-flower bouquets and garlands, large lanterns, and jars with tealights. 35 REAL WEDDINGS
