LADY LEVER ART GALLERY 0151 478 4780 | www.liverpoolmuseums.org.uk/weddings Lady Lever Art Gallery, set in picturesque Port Sunlight, has a long and romantic history. Created by soap magnate and discerning art collector William Hesketh Lever, the gallery is dedicated to the memory of his wife Elizabeth. The building boasts a magnificent Beaux-Arts style exterior and features stunning galleries and a beautiful grand hall filled with worldclass art. There are also two striking rotundas with gorgeous glass domes, one of which looks out on to the adjacent fountain and village. Celebrant-led ceremonies with 50 seated guests can be held in the Main Hall – the Gallery’s most impressive room, which showcases a wonderful collection of Victorian paintings. The Main Hall can also host wedding breakfasts and receptions, meaning you can enjoy your first meal together as newlyweds in the shadow of works by Millais, Rossetti and Holman Hunt. The space can hold 150 loved ones. For more intimate celebrations, the South Rotunda is an option. With space for 50 nearest and dearest this circular space covered by a stunning dome houses 18th- and 19th-century sculpture. Overlooking the fountain and village, it has its own private entrance and is well-suited to a drinks reception. It’s also worth noting that the venue offers a complimentary food tasting.
