Your Cheshire and Merseyside Wedding - Page number 31 - September/October 2021 (Issue 59)
We didn’t want a large cake as they always seemed to go to waste at weddings we’d been to in the past. Instead, we opted for cupcakes that people could help themselves to, along with a simple cutting cake. We booked an Imperial Viscount Landaulette and a Daimler DS 420 limousine for our wedding transport. Place names were cut from mirrored acrylic and adorned with blush ribbon. We named our tables after all the spots Amy and I had visited together. These were also mirrored acrylic to match the place names and table plan. The bouquets and buttonholes featured pink and white peonies and roses with foliage. We also had baskets for the flowergirls, filled with gypsy grass to match their halos. We used the venue’s candelabras as centrepieces decorated with flowers on half of the tables, and floral plinths on the remainder. Our favours were macarons in blush pink and white. They were packaged in individual boxes labelled with customised stickers, which read: “Thank you for sharing our special day.” The venue was already decorated with white ceiling drapes and glass chandeliers. We added a silver sequin glitter wall with a neon personalised ‘The Hannahs’ sign, along with a video wall behind the top table. REAL WEDDINGS 31
