Your Cheshire and Merseyside Wedding - Page number 31 - July/August 2021 (Issue 58)
During the ceremony, one of my oldest friends read a piece written by another friend who I’ve also known since nursery. We had flowers everywhere, as well as a wall of ivy as a backdrop to our wedding breakfast, so I made sure there was ivy in our bouquets and centrepieces to tie everything together. As a further nod to our love for Disney our tables were named after the princesses Belle, Aurora, Elsa, Rapunzel, Cinderella, Snow White and Moana. The top table was Ariel as she was our daughter’s favourite at the time. My bridesmaids were dressed in floor-length dresses in dusky pink with lace detail at the top. I wanted my girls to feel comfortable, but look amazing, which they all did. The centrepieces featured frosted-silver vases filled with flowers. These were paired with small lanterns and candles in glass or silver holders with a modern-vintage feel. And, as my daughter and I are Disney mad we wanted to bring a big element of this to our wedding without it being too overbearing. So, we incorporated Disney princesses in our place names, which were pink and cream to complement our palette. Favours were heart-shaped biscuits with pink icing to complement the wedding colour palette. We also hired a catering company called Cheeky Chilli Events and I can’t recommend them enough. The food was delicious. REAL WEDDINGS 31
