Built in 1607 it’s certainly rich in history. The Hall was built by William Vaughan as a wedding present for his new wife Ann. Based just two miles from the sea and beach, there’s no need to look overseas for a destination wedding when a gem such as this lies within our own borders. Every wedding booking is offered on an exclusive-use basis, along with a personal and bespoke touch, and there’s a range of options available when it comes to how you use the site. There’s the 17 th -century Elizabethan Manor House, a Grade II listed Coach House and five charming cottages, plus accommodation for 42 people. The beautiful bridal suite is located in the Manor House, which boasts a freestanding bath and four-poster bed. Say “I do” in the Vaughan Room (50 guests), Cromwell Hall (70 guests), Coach House (150 guests) or outdoor Pergoda (unlimited numbers) – fabulous historical locations each one. The Vaughan Room can also host intimate receptions for 30 nearest and dearest. Plus, Cromwell Hall with its original beams and Milton floor can host 70 for post-vow celebrations. The Coach House is the largest reception space, boasting plenty of natural light and views of the ancient woodland. It also features a bar hand-built by owner Paul Good, made from wood from the estate. It can host 150. The venue offers a complimentary food and wine tasting, where bespoke menus are devised after you’ve sampled your preferences. Steeped in history, the Hall has welcomed royalty and distinguished visitors since it opened its doors in 1495.
