R IS FOR RELIABLE One thing to bear in mind when opting for vintage and classic vehicles is their reliability. The last thing you want on your wedding day is to break down on your way to the ceremony. Find a reputable supplier, and don’t be afraid to ask questions about how they look after their vehicles. Plus, there are vintage-style cars that have a wonderful 1930s look, such as a Ford Bramwith or Beauford, but are in fact modern, so you have the best of both worlds. S IS FOR SPORTS CAR Enjoy a bit of high- octane fun – certainly one way to make a grand entrance! Alternatively, why not surprise the groom and book one to collect him in the morning. T IS FOR TRAVEL TIME Carefully consider now long it will take to get from A to B. Just because your own car can make the trip in 10 minutes, doesn’t mean a horse and carriage or vintage car will. These modes of transport will be restricted on speed and may need to take an alternative, longer route. Also, check on the radius your supplier covers. They tend not to travel too far out of area with older vehicles. A little alone time as you journey from ceremony to celebrations will be something you’ll cherish. Even if your big day is happening all in one location, ask your transport provider if they can factor in a short excursion for the both of you, post-ceremony. Take your photographer and you can also capture some great couples shots. IS FOR ZOOM What could be more romantic that driving off into the sunset as newlyweds? Y IS FOR YEAR Many transport suppliers have a select few vehicles and make it their policy to book only one wedding per day, so that they’re all yours and you’re not clock watching.
