Your Cheshire and Merseyside Wedding - September/October 2020 (Issue 53)

The bridesmaids were dressed in dusky pink, full-length dresses with a split up the side. Rebecca Forshaw, who did the girls’ hair and make-up, as well as my own, also looked after us all for my hen do. It was a great way to trial my big-day look. We decorated the ceremony room with bunches of eucalyptus and wax flowers, which were tied to chivari chairs. We also used the two blossom trees in the reception suite. We travelled from Craxton Wood Hotel, where we’d stayed the night, to the venue in a Range Rover provided by a bridesmaid’s husband. He’d even dressed as a chauffeur with a top hat. Sam wore Dion by Marc Darcy, a blue tweed herringbone-check three-piece suit. He accessorised with a tweed tie, stag cufflinks and a pocket watch. The best man’s suit matched the groom’s, with the same stag cufflinks, plus a flask full of Blanton’s Bourbon! My bouquet was hand-tied in a loose style for a just-picked look. It consisted of pink mondial roses, candy avalanche roses, purple veronica, tanacetum, white wax flowers, eucalyptus and Samantha roses, trailing at the front with ivy. I wore Lily by Justin Alexander, part of the Sincerity collection. I spent a full day with my mum in Chester going from one bridal boutique appointment to another. This dress was one of the last ones I tried on, and knew it was the one. 32
