Your Cheshire and Merseyside Wedding - July/August 2020 (Issue 52)
The centrepieces featured a bottle of the gin the table was named after, filled with gypsophila, and placed on a log slice next to a lantern. There were also jars filled with water and gypsophila topped with a floating candle. We had gin and tonic lollipops as our favours. They were personalised with our names and the wedding date. They tied in with our gin theme and we added a twine bow for a rustic vibe. Our table plan was made using gin bottles filled with fairylights, which were placed inside a crate customised with hessian sack. Each table was named after a different type of gin, the top table being Masons, which is my maiden name. The top layer of our big-day bake was a zesty lemon cake iced with buttercream. The other tiers were made up of 72 cupcakes flavoured with lemon, vanilla and, of course, gin. We decorated the reception space with LOVE letters, a sweet cart, a vintage-style post box, and a flower arch, along with a memory ladder featuring photos of those who are no longer with us.
