FLOWERS 43 PHOTOGRAPHY PICTURE PERFECT Meet some of the region’s finest photographers as they share their favourite images C hoosing your photographer is a vitally important decision, and an area where you won’t want to spare the budget. These enormously talented folks are worth their weight in gold: not only do they capture every treasured moment as the day unfolds, they then spend hour upon hour slaving away over the images afterwards, making sure every single one is absolutely perfect. Your photographer will be with you throughout your big day so it’s so important that the three of you (or four if there’s a second shooter) get along like a house on fire. A quality professional will put you at ease, while they capture you at your most joyful and natural. Another key factor to consider is the style you’re looking for - there are many from artistic and documentary, to traditional and formal. So, be sure to check out as many photographers’ websites and social media pages as you can to get a good feel for their work before you begin enquiring about dates. To set you out on your journey, we asked a group of fab photographers from around the region to showcase their favourite shots. THE BRIDE TRIBE – WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY BY LOUISE CUPPELLO www.thebridetribephoto.co.uk @thebridetribephoto Louise’s favourite shots “So many people have asked me whether this image is photoshopped - I swear it isn’t! We decided to bring the balloons to life and light them with a flash from behind, combining that with a smoke bomb created this incredible effect.” “I love the enchanted wonderland look of this shot: the boat, the colours, the sun and the couple’s romantic 1930s Hollywood glam look. It all works together to create one amazing photo in my eyes.” ▲ “On the drive through Peckforton Castle’s grounds the woodland looked amazing in the sunlight, and the trees create an amazing backdrop to the photograph. That mixed with the ferns creates interesting bands of colour across the image.” “I love the earthy warmth of this image. The tweed suit the groom’s wearing is so earthy, but is then contrasted by the bride’s super-elegant dress. Plus, the sunset sky in the background makes everything stand out.” ▲
