Your Cheshire and Merseyside Wedding - May/June 2020 (Issue 51)
I hired a DB9 as a surprise for Lee. He knew nothing about it until it turned up where he was staying to pick him up. We were looking for a family friendly venue as we have two girls. Lee is part of the Oldham Mountain Rescue team, so he’s very outdoorsy, whereas I love a touch of class! Heaton House Farm had the ideal mix of both, and suited us perfectly. Lee hates being the centre of attention, so he wore the same as his groomsmen: brown tweed suits with ties to complement the bridesmaids’ dresses. The girls wore gorgeous dipped-hem Dessy dresses. They were blush satin to complement mine. The flowergirls wore half satin, half tulle full-length dresses, and looked adorable in their flower crowns. I had my heart set on fresh flowers in pink, including peonies, and we came up with an enchanted theme. Me and the girls are huge Disney fans so we wanted a touch of that magic in our day, making it a real family occasion. I wore a satin Mori Lee dress, style 8123, with beautiful back detail. I styled it simply with a cathedral-length veil, necklace and shoes from Charlotte Mills. 32
