Your Cheshire & Merseyside Wedding - Mar/Apr 2020 (Issue 50)

FLOWERS 55 Succulents are hot property in the wedding world, in part because they’re evergreen and available all year round. A little potted succulent makes for a lovely wedding favour for your guests, and they suit a multitude of palettes. We adore them as part of a wintry white and grey arrangement. Gorgeous!  This bouquet, carefully crafted by Booker Flowers and Gifts (bookerflowersandgifts. co.uk) , shows how the current popularity of all white floral designs can be brought to life with the addition of greenery and different textures, to give a lovely modern feel, even with a traditional shape.  I’ll never forget the floral fantasy that was Ashleigh and James’ real wedding from issue 48. The decorated altar screen by Ian Lloyd Events (weddingflowerscheshire. co.uk) is nothing short of spectacular. What a way to make an entrance! Ceremony arches represent the home the bride and groom will make together, as well as symbolically passing from the old into the new.  Susan of Florist by Nature (floristbynature. co.uk) , used a variety of homegrown seasonal foliage combined with blue tones of eucalyptus to create this wonderfully organic look. Plus, the addition of white roses brings a touch of simplistic elegance. Stay neutral  Bride Michaela, who featured in issue 47, carried this simple and oh-so cute gypsophila bouquet. These are also great as bridesmaids’ posies, the perfect complement to a bridal bouquet that contains sprigs of the delicate little flower. They also work well as rustic-chic centrepieces when placed in jam jars. martisan.co.uk rachelryanphotography.co.uk chelseashoesmith.co.uk.
