Your Cheshire & Merseyside Wedding - Mar/Apr 2020 (Issue 50)

Ian and I performed a comedy dance routine that we’d choreographed in our living room. It began with Best Part Of Me by Ed Sheeran, and then went into Sexy And I Know It by LMFAO, at which point the groom strutted his stuff, and did some Superman press-ups… Our photo shoot with our photographer, Lisa Bancroft, and videographer, Everwood Films, was so much fun. We walked along the docks with cars beeping as they drove past, and tourists wanting pictures. …We then went into You’re The One I Want from Grease, before finishing with Love Is An Open Door from Frozen, as Elsa is the princess I most often dress as for my party company. It was one of our favourite memories of the day. We enjoyed wild boar terrine for starters, followed by roast chicken with potato gratin and seasoned vegetables for main course. We finished with a delicious chocolate torte for dessert. Plus, in the evening there was still room for mini-burgers, and fish ‘n’ chips. The quality of the food was great – the empty plates were the best compliment. The cake was a gift from my Uncle Alan and his wife, Lesley. He used to be Lord Derby’s chef and has cooked for Princess Diana. It had three tiers of fluffy sponge and was beautifully decorated with roses and diamantes. My mum made the cake stand and added the flowers, with help from Debbie, her best friend of over 20 years. An amazing violinist, Kate O’Brien, entertained guests prior to the ceremony and played A Thousand Years by Christina Perri as I made my entrance. She also played during the cocktail and canapé reception creating the perfect ambience. She was a dream. REAL WEDDINGS 33 
