Your Cheshire & Merseyside Wedding - Mar/Apr 2020 (Issue 50)

The table plan by Stationery Queen was a beautiful floral mirror with blush glitter. The tables were named after some of our favourite places, including Alma de Cuba (the restaurant where we met), and Le Blanc Spa Resort in Mexico (where we took our first holiday together). The bridesmaids wore 1950s-style dresses by British Retro, which were customised by a friend, Monica Welsh, who added tulle for more volume in the circle-skirts. My mum’s designer friend, Mark Melia, who made her amazing dress, also added a belt detail. We had flower-filled martini glasses on each table, as well as decorated candelabras fit for a princess, which added to the fairytale theme. These were created by my own team at R’Marnies Party World. Ian was dressed in a tails suit. He accessorised with a pink cravat, and waistcoat. The groomsmen wore the same colour tailored suits with grey waistcoats, as did the pageboys. I wore Riley by Allure Bridals. It was completely different to what I initially wanted, but when I tried it on, I knew it was the one for me. It was classy, timeless, and sexy. I wore my mother’s veil and carried a horseshoe that my Nana Rosie gave to her on her wedding day. There were hundreds of roses in our flower arrangements. They looked incredible and the venue staff commented that it was the best they’d ever seen it dressed. 32
