Family was vitally important to Justine and Ian on their personality-filled wedding day Images courtesy of Bancroft Photography J ustine was out celebrating the festive period with her staff, aka “The Princesses,” when she spotted Ian across a crowded room. “He looked really handsome and had a cheeky smile,” she remembers. He came over to introduce himself, and they hit it off right away. Justine continues, “We’re both very career orientated and run our own businesses.” They made plans to meet up the following week for their first date, when Justine made a rookie error in ordering spaghetti bolognaise – “I spent the rest of the date with pasta sauce on my chin,” she laughs. After that the pair became inseparable. Ian proposed in New York on a horse and carriage in Central Park. There they were, holding hands, and Justine was admiring the scenery, thinking how beautiful it was, when she felt Ian let go of her hand. She turned around to see why, and found him on one knee with a red velvet ring box, holding the diamond. “Will you marry me, babe?” he asked. “I was just lost for words! It was a complete surprise, and I was in so much shock that I didn’t even say ‘yes’ at first!” Justine recalls. Of course, once she’d managed to catch her breath she gleefully accepted, and they later set the date for 8 th August, 2019.
